How I Manage Anxiety
I’m not going to lie…I have a pretty tough relationship with my anxiety. A lot of times, I get anxious very easily even when nothing is actually happening. At this moment, as I’m writing this, my anxiety is going crazy and I have no idea why. It feels like there is just this constant whirling in my head and I can never seem to slow it down and just breathe. I am constantly overthinking things and going through a million scenarios in my head. It's a constant battle, but I can confidently say that I am getting better at managing it.
My biggest tip I can give on managing anxiety is to start journaling. I haven't been keeping up with it as much lately, but when I was journaling my feelings almost everyday, I noticed my anxiety had gone way down and I was able to relax more. In the morning, I would write down affirmations to fuel my day and start on a positive note, and before bed I would write about my day and release all of my worries and it helped me sleep better and feel way more at peace.
Another thing that helps my anxiety immensely is keeping a clean space. I definitely am not a fan of cleaning, but I've noticed that the more I keep up with cleaning and my environment is organized, my mind is a lot clearer. Every night when I get home from work, I try to clean at least for a little bit. I make sure to keep up with dishes, and knowing that my space is clean, I feel so much more at peace.
It's the little things that help me with anxiety. Even just taking deep breaths and telling myself positive affirmations in my head throughout the day helps me so much. I may not be completely anxiety-free, but doing these little things to clear my head help me so much.

my understanding is that there are many things going on that cause anxiety and seldom is it rooted genuinely situational. you should try/research nose breathing exclusively (with proper tongue posture) and deep abdominal breaths.
