Self - Love
Loving myself for who I am has always been a struggle. There are days where looking in the mirror causes my eyes to get watery and I think about all of the things I wish I could change. There are days where I look at social media and see all of these girls who I wish I could be. I see other people living what seems to be the perfect life and think, "Why can't I have that?"
In reality, everyone has their own insecurities. Everyone wishes they could change something about themselves or their life at some point. Everyone has doubts, worries, sadness. Someone might look at you and be jealous about the thing you are most insecure about. Our insecurities are nothing but a figment of our imagination. It's our brain playing tricks on us.
I'd like to think that I have improved on self-love. I take way better care of myself and I love my body for what it is, most of the time. However, I am still on this journey and I have a lot to learn and a lot to work on with myself. I truly do love myself and the person I am. I love how creative I am. I love how kind, loving and caring I am. I love how I've been treating my body and feeding myself healthy foods and just overall taking better care of my physical and mental health. I love the person that I am becoming as I work on myself to create a better version of who I am, but I still have a long way to go. I am not perfect. Some days I still struggle to look at myself and feel nothing but love. But I'm happy that I am striving to take care of myself and giving myself the self-care time that I need.
Self-love is the most important love we can ever have in this world. We are the only ones who are with ourselves 24/7, so learning to love yourself can do wonders for your mental and physical health. Take care of yourself and show yourself the love that you would show others. You deserve it.
