Habits That Make Me Feel Good

Life is hard. Sometimes, it can be a struggle just to get out of bed in the morning. The days seem long, but they also fly by before you can get anything done. It seems like there is an endless list of tasks that just keeps getting longer. It can seem intimidating, but there are a few things that I like to do that help me to stay motivated and productive.

The most important thing that helps me more than anything is journaling. I don't journal every day, but whenever I feel like I need to get something off my chest (good or bad) I always journal about it. Sometimes it will just be a few sentences, and other times it could fill up multiple pages. It just helps to relieve the pressure of what I am currently feeling so it doesn't feel so heavy. It makes me feel like I'm telling someone my life story, without really having to tell anyone. Bullet journaling is another form of journaling that I really enjoy. I love to make my own calendar spreads and adding in different types of things like mood trackers or habit trackers. It really helps me to keep track of my daily tasks and how I can improve different areas of my life by tracking how I'm doing. It has been so beneficial for me in so many ways and I highly recommend it if you want to get your life more on track.

Another helpful tip I have is breath work. Working on controlling your breathing is super important if you are someone who struggles with anxiety. Whenever I am feeling anxious, I try to do some simple breathing exercises to help calm myself down. Simply taking slower and more intentional breaths helps me to be able to focus more on what I'm doing and feel more in control of my emotions.

I don't read as much as I would like to anymore, but I've found that whenever I immerse myself in a good book, I always feel so much better and more relaxed. It's like getting lost in the stories of the characters' lives helps me to forget about some of the harder things I am dealing with in my real life. Reading has significantly improved my mental health, and I am hoping to be able to find more time to incorporate it more into my everyday life.

I know this is a pretty obvious one for me, but blogging has made me feel so much better ever since I started doing it more. Clearly, I love writing and I love sharing my thoughts with the world. I enjoy sharing any tips I have on certain topics and sharing my opinions on different things. It feels good to be more open in certain areas of my life, and I hope it helps some of you to feel less alone while reading about certain personal things I deal with. My main goal with blogging is to help others, and I hope I am doing a good job of that.

I know that some of these tips might not work for everyone, and that's okay. The most important thing is that you are incorporating things that you enjoy into your everyday life. No one wants to always be doing things they don't want to do. Have a little bit of fun every day. It will help to keep you productive, and your mental health will be so much better. Make sure to take care of you. <3
