Life has many challenges. It's almost like there is always another challenge to face immediately after successfully overcoming the previous one. It can be overwhelming and draining. You may get to a point where you just want to give up. I've been there. In fact, as I write this, I am currently close to that point. Which is why I am making this post. It's not just motivation for you, but for me as well. I need to remember to be thankful for all that I have, even though my current circumstances may be hard.

I don't want to talk about what I am going through currently, but instead, I want to talk about what I am thankful for. It's often very hard for us to see anything but the negative when we are going through hard things. We focus on the bad, and when we do that, we feel like crap. Why do we do that to ourselves? Of course, you should always take time to feel your feelings, but you also shouldn't take the good things for granted. It's so easy to forget about all of the wonderful things we have in our lives. Taking time to be thankful is so important for us to heal.

While I am in a very negative situation currently, I do have a lot of things in my life to be thankful for. I have a very blessed life and I have so much to celebrate. Yes, I am sad and going through it, but when I think about all of my blessings, I instantly feel so much better.

First off, I am thankful for my cat. He is the sweetest and I absolutely love him. I always think about how lucky I was to find him and how grateful I am too be able to care for him. He is so so perfect.

I am also thankful for my family. When I was young, and up until I was 20 years old, I never really got along with my family. Especially my mom. Since moving out, our relationship has gotten so much stronger and I am so thankful for that. I love my family so much, and it feels good to finally feel a good connection with them. It is so nice to be able to talk to my mom when I am down. She is always there for me when I need her.

I am so thankful for my new job. I haven't started working there yet, but I cannot believe I was given this opportunity. After Thanksgiving break, I will be training to be a Vet Tech at the Animal Humane Society. This is my dream job. Since I was a little girl, I have always wanted to someday work with animals. It is so crazy and surreal that I am finally getting this opportunity. I know this will be amazing for me and I can't wait to see all of the wonderful things that come out of this.

I am so thankful for my friend, who has helped me to finally get back in touch with my faith and closer to God. I strayed away for so long and I was even at a point where I fully did not believe in God. I feel like I am healing so much now that I am focusing more on my faith, and I am so grateful for that. I feel Him guiding me through my challenges, and I know that everything will be okay.

No matter how hard life gets, try to be thankful and remember all of the positives you have in your life. It will help to make things not seem so heavy. It can help to clear your head so you can get through your next challenge with a lot more ease. Things are hard for me right now, but I have so many blessings in my life and I am thankful to be alive.♡
